Hello fellow King Street Toastmasters,
We had a fantastic meeting today with Caroline’s theme of “Fairs and Festivals:
Here are the roles for next week’s meeting (5-25-2006). We are in need of someone to take “Educational Moment” and “Listener”. Please let our energetic Toastmaster, Jon Evans, know if you are interested. If you are scheduled and cannot make the meeting, please find a succedaneum*.
Today Caroline Edwards announced her retirement after 21 years with
A Toastmaster gave me the attached protocol information to share with our Club. It contains tips on running our meetings more professional. Please keep it handy for future reference.
I hope to see all of us next week! Don’t forget to sign the food/beverage sheet for our “Milestone Celebration and New Officer Induction Ceremony” scheduled for Thursday, June 22!

Election Day
Here is the list of newly elected officials:
Club President - Jon Fleming
VP Education - Kimberly Hunt, CTM
VP Membership - Nathan Brown
VP PR - Teresa Bzdek
Treasurer - Jack Buce
Secretary - Sheila George
Sarg. At Arms - Charlie Peters
Notes on executive officer roles:
President - provides leadership and guidance the club needs to ber successful and leads each club meeting, and sets the tone and pace of the meeting.
VP Education - has overall responsibility for the club meeting programs. This person plans all regular and special club meetings and events. They also prepare the meeting schedule for the term.
VP Membership - responsible for bringing new members into the club and ensuring that the club always has a minimum of 20 members.
VP PR - responsible for persuading guests to join the club and attracting guests to the meeting through publicity, public relations and through keeping members informed of happenings in the club.
Treasurer - keeps clear and accurate financial records of club business and sees that the club remains financially stable. They also are authorized to be a signer on the club bank account.
Secretary - responsible for keeping clear and accurate records of club meetings and club business, including membership records and correspondence.
