In honor of the looming tax day, Charlie Peters chose "Income Tax and The IRS" as his theme for the meeting. This also became a very amusing theme for the Table Topics questions. The meeting went smoothly and Bill Forristall made a last minute substitution as the first speaker. He gave a speech titled "When Are You", which was later evaluated by Jon Fleming.

The next speaker was Krista Jones, who gave us a very apt speech titled "The Best Commute I Ever Had" (Speech #2 from The Communication and Leadership Manual) . This speech was evaluated by Brian Lhuillier.

After an amusing Table Topics session and the reports of the meeting officials, we were reminded that Charlie Peters was scheduled to participate in the Area Speech Contest, which he won.

The meeting went very smoothly. We were treated to two very good speeches by Charlie Peters and Jon Fleming. Charlie Peters gave his speech entitled, "The Tragic Effects of the Draft", which was speech #7 from the Communication and Leadership Manual. Jon Fleming gave his speech entitled, "Stepping out of Your Comfort Zone", which was his second speech from the Communication and Leadership Manual.

After the speeches our Table Topics Master, Renee Zimmerman, gave us fun topics and utilized a bag of books for her questions. We had 99% participation! At the end of the meeting, after the evaluations and reports had been given, Nathan Brown gave us a quiz to test how well we'd been listening to the presenters and the Toastmaster.

It was announced that the District Two Conference would be held on May 14. Cost is $65 if paid ahead of time, $95 at the door.
